Flash animation festival
FlashKIno showings will take place every day at 7 p.m. between Thursday 24th and Sunday 26th of January 2008 at Kulturni Inkubator, Koroska 18, Maribor, Slovenia. Animations were made using Flash computer software. Selected animations are comprised of works of six Slovene and of a dozen foreign authors from Canada, Croatia, USA, Ukraine and Netherlands.
Friday 25th, 7 PM the following of my works will be shown:
Zlobin Toys, The Santa Crow's Gift, King of the Flies, Happy Birthday

The Puzzle I made two years ago and kept in a secret place accessible to those who would find a secret password while browsing this site. Now I feel like revealing it for everybody. The thing has proved to be a really tough (since no more than 5 persons have succeeded in solving it so far). So to make your life easier I equiped this version with a "give up" button. It will show you the hint.

6th Torino Flash Festival
The Giuria of Quality, after “an animated” argument has assigned to majority the first prize for the Best Animation to work "THE WHITE, THE BLACK" of the Russian Andrei Bakhurin. The work of Bakhurin, present to the festival also with the animation "The Father's Library", has convinced the Giuria of Quality for the refinement of the language that between citations of Ejsenstein and schacchistiche simbologie defines aesthetic flash a not conventional one.

Cirkus Frax
While the new movie is being in the process of completing, please check out site splash animation for my friends from Sweden. It took the whole year of drawing. Sometimes I couldn't find the time to make their animation and sometines they were slow to react. Hei, they even don't have time to upload it to their web-site!
Anyway, here's the movie. The screenplay was written by them. I wish I could insert their music (it isn't really bad!) but they didn't want to.

Sonia's Escape
New movie is just to be completed. Final scene and sound and some minor brush strokes are left. It's going to be a crazy "full-length" Tomahawk-style production. If everything's alright the animation will be published in early February (as I hope).

Tomahawk music video God Hates a Coward has been included to competition programme at IX Open All-Russia Suzdal-2004 Animated Film Festival. The event is scheduled February 12-16, which means four days of drinking booze for me. Fuckin' Awesome!!! (unfortunatelly, the official web-site of the festival is in Russian only).

My video for Tomahawk won the second prize at Standing Rock Short Film Festival. About 75 authors participated in the competition.
The introduction to my video got me puzzled a bit:
This dark, surreal animation piece asks the following question: “Why make animation about action heroes or cute little talking animals when you can make animation about evil, psychosexual nightmares that involve strange, mutated fish?”

Today is Lenochka's Birthday! Lenochka dubbed many Scary-Doll cartoons. You could hear her voice in Happy Birthday, King of the Flies and in the Microscope final song. I hope there will be more. I wish you all the great things Lenochka!

One significant artist Kurt Dommermuth has finally come up with revival of his Organic Flash trend. This project is a sort of artistic club for those who disagree with domination of soulless futuristic flash design in the internet. The official web-site has been launched at Organicflash.com. Right now it consists of a link page only, but it's just a beginning. I proud to find Kurt placing a link to one of my works there.

If you find Organic Flash idea close to what you feel you can become a member of the e-mail conference. Right now the new logo of the Organic Flash is being discussed there.

I don't know if this link has already been around. However I only found out about it today. Splendid flash animation describing transformer-girl called Chi-Chian assisting a cocroach king in his war against zombies. Reminds me Tim Burton and good old Siouxsie and the Banshees.

God Hates a Coward video is finally finished. Now I can finally tell you the name of the band: it is Tomahawk - a project of Mike Patton who is generally famous for his work for Mr. Bungle and Faith No More. Tonight I received an approval from the Ipecac Recordings. They gave me a permission to publish it on this web-site. Enjoy the movie!

Sorry, no episode is ready this time. I had a hell of a week. I bought a computer, was drinking all the week celebrating the St. Pete's 300 Anniversary, which ended up with a severe depression. As soon as I recover I will go on with the music video.

My two movies The Santa Crows' Gift and Happy Birthday shared the first prize at the ARTFLASH-2003 festival.

However, I will have to renounce the award. The reason is the support provided by the festival organizers for artists who act defilemently towards Cristian symbols.
